Being a Hoenn naitive, Zei knew little to nothing about the new craze called Pokeathlon. When he asked his visiting friends about it, they insisted he give it a shot. So he headed to the CONVENIENT PLOT POINT STADIUM where it turned out they were having a new, trial system for Pokeathlons!
There would be four trainers as usual, but the lowest scoring trainer in each event would be dropped. Zei entered the three pokemon he thought would do best and entered what seemed like the most straightforward competition - the Stamina competition. He made it to the last round by the skin of his teeth, where he met his last opponent.
She was much more enthusiastic than he was. And had a lot more piercings than he did.

hooray i've been working on this one since before the round was announced but i held off on posting it. i guess. i like how it turned out! enjoy my half-assed background and my disproportional larvitars.

this is always my favorite pokeathlon event. it's so satisfying to send the other pokemon flying across the stage and into the bottomless pit

stupid zippy, why are you fighting the pokemon that has a 4x STAB super effective typing against you
