POKEVENTURE -- Reference M2

ok, so i had this idea for a character and couldn't decide if i'd rather use her or my other character...so to anybody who sees this, post in your comments if you'd rather have me use Latte or Frumgaar in the Pokeventure!

i think it could be fun to write a much less serious character, but frumgaar has a much more interesting story. either way, you choose.

also this is tl ; dr if there ever were such a thing

NAME : Latte
SPECIES : Lopunny
GENDER : Female
AGE : about 11 in human years, so she's probably about middle age for a pokemon.
NATURE : Adamant
capable of taking hits
SPECIAL INFO : wears a muscle band around waist to boost physical moves.

HISTORY :
-- The daughter of an incredibly rich Kanto couple woke up one morning to a set of Pokeballs on the kitchen table. They had gone out, wanting only the rarest and best gifts for their child, and purchased specifically bred and trained pokemon for the occasion. One of these pokeballs held a Buneary; this was Latte. The girl was only 10 at the time, so her mother was the one who suggested the name. It fit, so the girl decided to name her other pokemon in a similar fashion. Discovering the other pokemon her parents had gotten her, she named them after drinks and food as well. This marked the start of a great relationship.

Latte was specifically bred and trained from hatching to have a wide range of powerful moves, and she uses them well. Her trainer purchased her a Muscle Band (it's MUCH more attractive than an expert belt or anything of the sort) as well as some items for her other pokemon and went out on her journey. Eventually, the girl decided she didn't want to be a trainer, and worked to become a musician instead. She was incredibly sucessful, and in a matter of years became an Idol that was known all across the region.

However, her image became an issue. Her managers insisted she get rid of one of her other pokemon, a shiny Purugly she'd named Boo Berry, as well as Latte. Boo Berry was not a 'cute' pokemon and had a bad reputation due to the species' prevalence in Team Galactic. Latte was...well, she was the girl's favorite. And frankly, she kind of creeped everyone out.

Regretfully, the girl released the two pokemon. However, she still cares about them and frequently visits them in Celadon, where she said goodbye to them for the first time. They remain there now, traveling on their own but meeting up and remaining close friends with one another.

PERSONALITY :
-- Latte is incredibly strong for a Lopunny. She hits hard for her species, and with her special arsenal of attacks, can deal a great amount of damage to most things that come her way. She takes hits fairly well, too, and has a natural agility that all Lopunny share.

From her immediate appearance, she's a little intimidating. She ALWAYS has a blank, unfocused stare on her face, and will stare unfocused at something for hours if there is nothing else to look at or if she is not told otherwise. She also has a stronger build than most Lopunny. This makes her unnaturally creepy for her species, though she doesn't act this way on purpose.

Latte only acts this way because she is, quite possibly, the stupidest thing that has ever walked the face of the earth. This isn't much of an exaggeration. She knows enough to understand that breathing and eating are good, and that you shouldn't run directly into things, but that's the extent of her knowledge. She doesn't even bother asking for explanations or clarification when she's tasked to do things, because even she knows she won't get it.

Most other pokemon of her species are ditzy, giggly, flirty, and excitable. Latte is none of these things. Despite her Cute Charm ability, she doesn't really attract the average male. Her unchanging expression, stoicism, lack of intelligence, and strength don't make her all that appealing. She has no concept of manners, personal space, or the proper way to act in any situation. She has no tact, no social skills, no conversation skills, and is just flat out DUMB. She's dumber than your average Lopunny, and that's saying something.

Still, Latte's stupidity means that she has to have someone do her thinking for her. She is the ultimate Brawn in great need of a Brain to fit with. Because of this, she is incredibly loyal. She's dumb, but she is very diligent, focused, has a good memory, and is totally task-oriented. She works until a task is done and will do whatever she's told. Really, she has a huge potential, but never having to learn anything means that she's good for nothing besides beating things up.

She's not exactly friendly, but she's not mean either. She almost never speaks, never asks questions, and doesn't argue. Latte tends to be a buzzkill, but sometimes manages to get the point of a joke. Then she giggles a little. ...It takes her a while though.

Though she doesn't really know it, she wants to find someone who can beat her in a fight. A GOOD fight. She's lost before, of course. But what she wants is to find someone who is honestly strong and can give her a good show; someone who can actually spark her interest. She would instantly decide to follow that person or pokemon and train with them to reach her potential.

oh god it's done

i tried to make her as un-furry as i could but it's a lopunny which makes it difficult. ...very difficult. lopunny is an honestly cool pokemon; i use one in a competitive NU team and she kicks ass. it's just that the furries have taken lopunny and turned it (even more than it already was >:/ ) into a furry fanservice thing. THIS IS WHY WE CAN'T HAVE NICE THINGS
